Loose connector

I found a loose connector and have no idea where it goes! I've removed the EVAP canister, PAIR valve, exhaust servo, and lambda, I thought I covered everything to avoid fault codes, did I miss something important?
 
How about the charcoal canister purge valve or a connector related to the fuel tank pressure sensor?
Both of these are often in the same general area as the EVAP system and can trigger codes if disconnected.
Try to double-check around that area, and perhaps consult a wiring diagram for your specific model if you have access to one!
 
Thanks! That's super helpful, I'll check around the tank and see if it's one of those. I've got a diagram somewhere, I just need to dig it out and compare

For the loose connector, often when you pull all those systems, there will be some connectors that no longer have a home. The key is to make sure they're not hot (carrying voltage that could short out) and are properly taped/zip-tied out of the way so they don't get snagged or corrode.

However, even if you've unplugged everything, you're likely still going to need an ECU flash (tune) to properly eliminate fault codes and optimize performance. Just unplugging sensors often puts the ECU into a 'limp' mode or throws a check engine light eventually because it's looking for those inputs. A proper tune will tell the ECU to ignore those missing components.

Also, don't forget block off plates for the PAIR valve and exhaust servo areas, if applicable, to prevent exhaust leaks or unfiltered air entry. Sounds like you're on the right track though, just might need that final ECU step!
